A new chapter begins

We have found a buyer for Gitano.  She's been an amazing boat for our family and we've put many happy miles under her keel.  She's was our home, has taken us to amazing places, and now will no doubt continue that tradition.  She belongs on the open ocean chewing through miles and miles of blue water, an indefatigable thoroughbred.  I can't wait to see and hear about the places she'll go!

A classic ketch for living and sailing

Gitano is a 1975 CT 41, a classic Bill Garden blue water boat, comfortable at anchor or at sea.

Interior:

She has a spacious, traditional Bill Garden interior, and makes an excellent liveaboard. Forward is a sail locker and crew berth. The master stateroom features a pullman double to starboard and generous storage. The head with separate shower is to port. The salon has large settees port and starboard. Aft is the L-shaped galley to starboard and the dinette/nav area to port, with the dinette convertible to a double berth. The joinery is in excellent condition, with lovely hand-carved panels. A Webasto forced-air heater and Dickinson diesel fireplace keep it toasty warm inside.

Exterior:

The decks are balsa-cored fiberglass, with a fresh coat of non-skid.

The main mast is aluminum, and the mizzen is spruce. Both are in good condition.

The chain plates have been replaced and the standing rigging is new.

The sails are in decent condition, including a main, mizzen, jib, genoa, gennaker, and storm sail.

The Perkins 4-108 with a dedicated starting battery starts even on the coldest days without a hint of reluctance, and drives her at hull speed, ~7 knots.
